Easter Was Always Special, But I Wanted More
I’ve always loved Easter. The hymns, the hope, the celebration of Christ’s resurrection. But for years, I felt like I was missing something. I wanted to understand, not just celebrate.
I realized I was skipping over the depth and weight of Holy Week—the week leading up to Easter.
It’s easy to jump to the joy of Resurrection Sunday, but I wanted to truly grasp what Christ experienced, what He taught, and how it all connects. That’s when I decided to study His final days—one scripture at a time.
What I Learned from Studying Holy Week
I started reading the Gospels chronologically, cross-referencing events across Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. That’s when everything clicked. Each Gospel brings a unique perspective, and when studied together, it creates a complete, powerful picture of Christ’s final days.
📖 Some of the biggest insights I gained:
✅ Christ’s teachings in His final week were intentional – He knew His time was short, and every word carried eternal weight.
✅ The suffering in Gethsemane was deeply personal – Seeing it across the Gospels made me realize He truly “descended below all things.”
✅ The resurrection wasn’t just an event—it was a promise.
As I studied, I felt something shift in my heart. I wasn’t just reading about Christ’s final days—I was experiencing them.
