If that isn't sass...I don't know what is. |
The pattern uses knit fabric. Which is definitely my favorite. It is so stinking easy to sew with, especially if you have a serger {which I highly recommend if you are sewing clothing....totally worth it!}
The knit fabric I used is by +Simple Simon called 4 Corners and manufactured by +Riley Blake
Their knit fabric is divine. It has a nice weight and is perfect for maxi skirts, infinity scarves, and, you guessed it, shirts!
The pattern is awesome because it is simple to sew AND it has several sleeve options, which includes a long sleeve. Perfect for winter!
Funny story, I needed to take some pictures for the Top Stitchers challenge that I am participating in next tuesday. But I needed snow.
It's a Christmas project.
So, this morning when my husband informed me as he was leaving for work, that it was snowing, I knew exactly what I needed to do. After sewing up this shirt (that took me longer to print out the papers, tape them, and then cute out the fabric, then it did to sew the entire shirt together) {Seriously, it is that simple. It is a breeze to sew!}, and my secret project that you can see next Tuesday, we went in search of snow.
Of course, the snow at our house had all disappeared, much to my disappointment.
Ok, really I am happy its gone, but couldn't it have stayed around for a couple more hours??! #firstworldproblems
We all loaded up in the car {cause it's a no school day in these parts}
and went for a drive up to the hills.
I could've gone to the mountains, but the mountains are over an hour away, and we only had 2 hours left of daylight. So that wasn't going to work.
Thankfully, we finally found some. Clear up in them hills that we hike to get huckleberrys every summer.
It wasn't much, but it was something. And that something is all that we needed.
Plus, we found this gorgeous little creek/water run off. And some cows.
Always cows up in those hills.
And then, as I was finishing up taking the last of the pictures, I realized:
We are out here in these hills.
Bears like these hills.
I'm so glad I didn't find me a bear.
And now you know, what a dork I am. lol
Ok......
So a couple of things to keep in mind....if you want this pattern {and I know you do!} head on over to Muse of the Morning and get one for yourself. You'll love it!
Make sure to stop by on Tuesday to see what I sewed up for the Top Stitchers Challenge. Its gonna be epic and I know my teammate/opposer/friend has something equally epic up her sleeve
Don't forget to head on over to Pattern Revolution to see what everyone else has created for this pattern swap. I know I can't wait to see them all, and there are lots of different types of patterns being showcased!
{and I have it from some pretty important people, that there is a giveaway going on....Enter below, but that those people....also have sales on their sites [like the one of my site AVTR Boutique for 40% off all patterns]}
